Google account data

The Google Tasks integration requests the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks. This permits the application to create, read, update, organize and delete Google Tasks and task lists for the authorized Google account.

What B.O.B.s does not request

This integration does not request Gmail, Google Calendar or Google Drive scopes.

How data is used

Google Tasks data is used only to provide task-management functionality requested by the user, such as creating or synchronizing action items.

Local storage

OAuth credentials and authorization tokens used by the local B.O.B.s runtime are intended to be stored locally on the user's device in a private runtime directory and excluded from source control.

Sharing and sale of data

B.O.B.s does not sell Google user data. Google Tasks data is not intentionally shared with advertising networks or unrelated third parties.

Data minimization

The system is designed to send only the minimum action information required for a task. Sensitive message content and broader operational context are intended to remain local by default.

User control

Users may revoke the application's Google account access at any time from their Google Account security settings. Revoking access may prevent future synchronization with Google Tasks.

Security

Reasonable local safeguards are used to protect credentials and runtime data, including restrictive file permissions and exclusion of secret material from Git. No security system can guarantee absolute protection.
